Abdominoplasty

Risks:
Infection, bleeding, seroma (tissue fluid) formation, delayed wound healing. Deep vein thrombosis.
Smoking:
Needs to be stopped at least 6 weeks before surgery to reduce your risk of complications
Contra-indications/Cautions
- History of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) or pulmonary embolism (PE)
- High anaesthetic risk patients
- Some multiply scarred abdomens
- Bleeding disorders or medications
